Youth Swimming Lessons
Summer Swim Lessons – 2011
Eel (Intermediate) – Level 2
This class builds on armstroke abilities while children are swimming on their front and back. Children begin to learn more in-depth safety skills such as front and back floats as well as treading water.
Rays and Starfish (advanced) – Level 3
Along with the front and back crawl, this class teaches rotary breathing, breast stroke, and butterfly kick. Each skill is progressed on basic knowledge of previous skills.
School Age Lessons (6 – 12 yrs old)
Polliwog (Beginner) – Level 1
Children learn how to blow bubbles, float, and kick their feet; along with basic water adjustment skills.
Guppy – Level 2
Rotary breathing along with back crawl, front and back floats, treading water, and building basic water skills
Minnow – Level 3
Along with the above skills, this class teaches breast stroke and elementary backstroke and continues basic skill development
Flying Fish – Level 4
This class puts an emphasis on building endurance. Butterfly and sidestroke are introduced as well as continued development of free and backstroke.
